Club Med Yucatan

Experience the best all-inclusive resort in Cancun suited to meet all your vacation desires.

Club Med Yucatan is located at the southern most portion of the Hotel Zone in Cancun, Mexico. Only a 10 minute transfer from the airport, you’ll have a short wait to start your vacation. With the ocean on one side and a large bay on the other, there’s a great view from every room in the resort.

Recent additions in the past few years have allowed Club Med Yucatan to offer family focused areas (Aguamarina) along with an exclusive 5 Trident space (Jade). So depending on what area of the resort you are booked in, your welcome experience will differ.

If booked into a Superior or Deluxe room category (all located around village center), your check in will be hosted at the main reception. As you exit your transfer, you will be greeted by a smiling Club Med employee (referred to as a GO - Gracious Organizer). Upon being chauffeured to a couch to rest after your travels, you will be offered a cool cloth and refreshing drink. You can expect the typical experience of offering up an ID and valid credit card for your file. Once confirmed, you and your travel companions will be equipped with wrist bands that operate as your room key and resort charge card.

If your family has secured one of the newer Aguamarina family rooms, you will check in a the reception area in front of the Aguamarina pool. Same process, different location and conveniently located close to family style rooms offered in these beautiful new buildings.

However, if you and your travel companion are booked in the Exclusive 5 Trident space, your transfers will deliver you to the front door of the Jade building. A champagne reception will welcome you begin your check-in process. Your Club Med wrist band will be a different color than those staying in other portions of the resort.

The Jade space offers a luxury 5 Trident experience within a 4 Trident resort. Not only do you have access to the private pool, beach, bar, concierge and more but you also have access to the rest of the resort. The best of both worlds!

Club Med Yucatan offers many activities on land and in the water that are all included in your stay.

  • Motorized water sports such as wake boarding and water skiing

  • Non-motorized water sports such as sailing, snorkeling, and kayaking

  • Trapeze lessons

  • Archery range

  • A complete fitness center

  • Open air fitness classes such as yoga

  • Water aerobics in the pool at village center

  • Tennis courts

  • Mini golf … And so much more!

Part of my love for Club Med comes from my love of their food. The main dining (La Hacienda) provides the gourmet buffet that is typical of Club Med properties. Don’t let the word ‘buffet’ deter you as the food is top notch.

For snacks and drinks between meals, you can venture over to Las Velas at the main pool village center. The crepes, enjoyed either sweet or savory, are a must to satisfy that mid-day snack craving.

For a more traditional Mexican food experience, Taco Arte offers a buffet style breakfast and lunch with a sit down service for dinner. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks at the lounge bar located in the same building just a few steps away from the Aguamarina area.

Fine dining can be enjoyed in the evenings, by reservation, at The Estancia, with ocean and sunset views. Be sure to ask your waiter what the fresh catch of the day is.

Pre-dinner appetizers are served in Soluna next to the bar. These are often finger foods served on small plates. My favorite is fresh guacamole and chips… Oh my yum!

Kids Clubs are offered at no additional expense for youngsters starting at 4 years old. The Baby Club for the little bitty members of your family does cost extra and must be reserved either prior to or on the day of arrival. Teenagers will find space and activities dedicated to their needs and interests as well.

Whether you are looking for a getaway with the family, a couples retreat, or a multigenerational vacation, Club Med Yucatan has something for everyone.
